About

I am an educator, abstract painter and community engagement artist who currently lives in Tulsa, OK. Originally from Los Angeles, I serve as a commissioner for the City of Tulsa's Art Commission and an art instructor at The Center for Individuals With Physical Challenges.

My first love and practice is abstract painting. Abstract painting is my space of surrender, where I go of all rules, expectations, and restraints and embrace intuition, improvisation, and self-discovery.

I love teaching the abstract process and other types of painting styles. I taught the craft and process for four years as a teacher and co-founder of Inside-OUT arts camp to students from low-income communities and currently to individuals with physical challenges at the Center. It is always a pleasure to take part in someone's development as an artist and go from seeing someone hesitate when painting to someone who says, "Wow, OK, I can paint!"

I have exhibited my work at Living Arts, All Souls, Tulsa Performing Arts Center, and TAC gallery.
